The former two time British Touring Car Champion Matt has fought his way through the ranks to succeed against the odds to achieve his goals. Not winning as an individual but constantly saluting every member of the team who he praises to putting him there.

Facing a new challenge in 2008, which sees him move away from his famly team - the ultra successful Team Halfords outfit. Matt takes on a new chapter in his career and will compete in the same team as the current BTCC champion Fabrizio Giovanardi at Vauxhall VXR Racing.

As a previous Double British Touring Car Champion, Matt Neal is both a great sportsman and consummate professional. Matt has competed across the world in some of the greatest motorsport championships. From V8 Supercars in Australia to Super Touring Cars in Europe, Matt has always fought hard to achieve his dream. In 2005 that dream became reality and Matt finally lifted the coveted British Touring Car Championship trophy.

In 2006 he was awarded the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) Silver Star for outstanding achievement in National Racing. Matt also made history again in 2006 by becoming the only driver in twenty-one years to win ’Back-to-Back’ drivers championship titles.
