After a hard fought first race that saw Gordon Shedden chasing down the BMW's of Turkington and Onslow-Cole and eventrually finishing 2nd.
However following Turkingtons car failing the weight limit, Flash was promoted to the winner of race 1.
Neal had a more torrid time after a first corner clash with Jason Plato resulted in Neal getting a puncture, unfortunately the pit stop meant that he restarted a lap down and could never recover.
Flash stated "I was over the moon after finishing second as the BMW's were very quick in a straight line, so to be promoted to race winner is fantastic. I'm now really looking forward to race 2 later today" |
